This movie is a bit like the movie "He's just not that into you". It talked about relationship between men and women. It is about a career woman, Abby, who worked hard and was not good at relationship. She's beautiful, smart and had a good profile, but she's not that clever when it came to relationships. Accidentally she had the chance to work with a man who claimed he's good at knowing what guys want and the tricks to catch a man. So, he taught Abby how to get a man succesfully. Finally she did succeed. However, she realized she was trying to be a girl who was totally unlike her. She should be with a guy who understands, knows her.

It was starred by Katherine Heigl, who also was in grey's anatomy, and Gerard Butler. Katherine Heigl has an easy-to-get-together trait. In movies, she always shows her big smile which was really adorable to audiences. Gerard Butler has a not easy-going feeling. However, in this movie, he showed the other side of his characteristic. Surprisingly, they're quite a perfect match in this movie. If you'd like to know the so-called "ugly truth", you may try it. It's quite entertaining and might really have some meaningful truth to you.

I went see MJ's "This is it" last month and my favorite song in that movie would be "I'll be there". I thought this song was sung by Mariah Carey. Well its original singer was "Jackson Five". I heard it from "This is it" from MJ himself and was deeply moved. It felt like there's someone there for you and being supportive and caring about your life. He/She is always there, opens their arms and offers the sincere, unselfish love. Yes, the feelings were so genuine and touching... and I was totally drawn to the song. The lyrics were so beautiful. "I'll reach out my hand to you, I'll have faith in all you do, Just call my name, and I'll be there"... anyone would be touched if he/she receives this announcement from the one they love. It's a song with lots of loves. Share with you.

When I saw the trailer of "Alice in Wonderland", I was thinking definately I'll go see when it shows in theaters. And yesterday I did go see the movie and kinda of felt disappointed after seeing it. Undoubtedly the images of every character was so actracting and "colorful". Every character has their own personality and their special costumes. Red queen always wore strange clothes with big and funny prints. White queen wore white and clean clothes. Hatter wore funny clothes and alwasy spoke with funny tones and behaved weird. These characters were interesting and vivid. But, the story itself in the movie was kinda slow. My friends and I almost fell asleep during the mid of the movie.

Actually as I can recall the original story of "Alice in Wonderland" should be interesting and full of imagination. I remember when I was a kid, I also imagined there's a total other place that is like the place in wonderland. Someday I may fall into that perticular hole and accidentally be in that world and have an exciting journey. Actually I still believe so now. But that's just to think for fun. The movie was lack of intense feelings and dramatic plots. I do think it should be much better instead of a slow movie like now.

I believe most people have heard this song "If" before. With no explanation, I just loved this song. Even though the singer is singing it, the song spreads feelings of silence. It brought out a silent and peace atmosphere. It made me feel peaceful. I would like to say it's a quiet song. Although I didn't know what it meant when I heard it the first time, the pure feelings already strongly affected me.

I just love this song especially the Lauryn Hill version. Second likable one would be Joanna Wang’s version. I love the melody and the lyrics. Everytime I listen to it, I always want to wave along with the music. Besides, I’ve had an experience to sing this song on my friend’s wedding, which is quite an amazing thing for me. This song can bring me joy and love. It makes me happy- yes, simply happy. I have to admit if I see someone and think he is too good to be true- it’s not good for me, because I can’t take my eyes off him and that’s not a lady should do! But I have to say I did have that kind of experience several times. Hopefully I can be with someone who I can’t take my eyes off and he’d think the same way to me. Then we’d thank god we’re alive!

Wow, a new year begins. Well, gotta say last year wasn't a good year for me. Got lots of stuff to face and realized some cruel (?) facts and need to figure out how to deal with them with better ways. Suddenly found out to solve problems in lives need so-called wisdom and another thing apparently I’m lack of now- patience. How to deal things from Chinese’ view always is about patience. However, this word seems doesn’t exist for me. But to face the facts, if you’re Chinese (or I should say Taiwanese), patience is a virtue and a quality every Chinese should learn.

Aside from it, I got other stuff to “figure out”, such as what I want for my career life, what I’m pursuing, what’s important for me etc. So, should I say I grow up too late? I guess so. I’m now figuring these stuff and in the mean time, trying to study the “financial knowledge”, which is also hard for me. I realize at my age, I should know basic financial knowledge and have savings and financial plan for my own instead of just buying things and don’t have a plan for my money. And, the meaning of my life, it’s a big one. I should understand it and try to achieve it. Not just don’t think of it and don’t want to face it. So, these things happened altogether last year till now and I have a headache now.

Wait, and one more thing, what’s my strength? Because speaking of career, it comes to strength too. You have to know what you like, what your strength is so that you can plan your career and also the life. See, a complicated and tough year. And till now I’m still looking for solutions. Anyway, we all got different problems and difficulties. The best solution I think is to face the facts and deal with it no matter how the pain may kill us. That might be the must we need to get through and we’ll achieve another level and become better ones.

Last night I watched a movie called “the heartbreak kid” on HBO. It’s a very typical ferrally brothers movie. Farrelly brothers’ movie is always full of comedy, fun, nudity(?) etc. One of their famous movies was “there’s something about Mary”, which I believe most of people have watched it. That movie also brought Cameron Diaz to even more popular and made her an American sweetheart. So, for this movie “the heartbreak kid”, the main actor is also Ben Stiller, who is an intellegent and famous comedien actor in the U.S. He acted quite well in this movie. He brought out the spirit of a man with bad luck and his facial appereances were always so… full of different kinds of complicated emotions.

There’re two actresses in the movie. For the first actress Malin Akerman, the blonde girl, well, she sacrficed a lot in the movie, because she had to do many unlovely behaviors. The second girl shown in the latter part was Michelle Monaghan. She’s very cute and sweet. I quite like her part in the show and her figure was very pretty as well.

For the story itself, not really special or new. It’s typical Farrelly brothers’ style. So, if you’re tired and just want to see a movie to relax or to laugh. This one probably is a good choice, because you don’t have to think in the movie. All you do is laugh and have fun. But, it’s not a movie with high class or profound meanings. So, don’t be surprised if you see quite many inappropriate behaviors in it.

Wow, hanven’t logged on the blog for so long and haven’t written anything for so long. Lately I’ve watched quite a few movies. I’d like to share some thoughts for the movies here.

Firstly, of course, the hot “Avatar”. I have to say I’m not quite into this movie even though so many people like it and thought it’s incredible. I do like the amazing technical of it but the story isn’t really that special and different. It said a guy went to Avatar and had relationships with residents there. And of course, the good people win even though so many people died in the end. Anyway, the amazing techniques are quite good. Manay people like the 3D shown in this movie. So, if interested in tech show, can go see it and should be fond of it.

Secondly is the movie “the Proposal”. Actually I didn’t go to a movie theater for it. I watched from my laptop. So, still, not quite enjoyed but the story is quite interesting. It said a female supervisor would like to have citizenship in the US and she came up with an idea to get married to her employee. Of course in the end the two people accidentally fell in love… Well, to me, it’s too much hollywood feelings. Too unreal and not possible happened in the real lives. Sandra Block in this film acted good. However, I like her more while she’s in “Miss Congeniality”.

Few days ago, I saw a movie "Enchanted", a very loving and adorable movie. Well, I have to admit that I haven't seen fairy tale movies or cartoons for so long- I think that is because as in my age, it's hard for me to believe in beautiful fairy tales. However, while I was seeing this movie, the beautiful melody and romantic story (ok, not really very much romantic) totally led me back to the age while I still bought disney stories. I think a small part of me still hasn't died. Deeply inside my mind, I still would like to believe in beautiful and romantic stories. I have to say the loving and warm songs totally drew me into disney stories- this is why I still can sing the theme songs in "little mermaid", "beauty and the beast", "lion king". Ha, I remember while I was in junior high, disney songs are some of my favorite. Both the melody and lyrics are so touching. Anyway, "Enchanted" is really a good movie. It is about a princess fell into NY city and tried to wait for her prince to save her. However, everyone knows that NY city is completely unrelevent to "happily ever after". So, you can understand there is so much conflicts between the princess and the guy who saved her in NY city, a guy who is a lawyer for divorce cases! However the story goes to unexpected way. The pricess started to re-think about the "happily ever after" and a brand new word to her- "date". The songs are pretty and the story is fun. I strongly recommend this movie to you all! You will feel again the strength and be in a good mood after seeing this movie!

Yesterday I saw a movie called “Mystic River”. I must say it’s a good movie. Even though this movie is with slow pace, the story of it is so good that I couldn’t leave the TV. (I had to push stop button and run to kitchen and got some water.) The story is about three friends and how a murder caused changes among them. How the differences among them appeared with an ugly way. How their thoughts, lives changed. The best part would be the three actors’ performance, and also the tension in this movie. It’s a story with mystery. You won’t find out the answer until you see it till the end. The three actors are very popular actors in movies- Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, and Kevin Beckon. Though it’s a good movie, compared to the Shawshank Redemption, I like Shawshank Redemption better, because it’s with more meaning in it. Anyway Mystic River is a good movie too. The mystic atmosphere and the astonishing story are quite intriguing. I’ll recommend this movie to my friends if they’d like to see some mystery movie.

Today I went to see a popular taiwanese movie "Cape No.7". Hm, this was really a good and touching movie. It took me to the old time while I was a kid living in the countryside. It brought back many memories to me. The scenery, the people in the movie, the music- all these gave me lots of nostalgic feelings. I felt like I went back to the time while I was just a little kid and had a life without any worries. The people in the movie were sincere, fun and full of energy. They just showed the loveliness of taiwanese people. The music were so warm and touching. I got nostalgic a lot while I watched it. There was a song I like "野玫瑰". When I was in chorus in elementary school, this song was the one we practiced a lot. Below are the lyrics of this song. Share with you all and strongly recommend you to see this movie. Wow, I got a day off tomorrow because the typhoon is coming soon. Gotta say it's a relief for me because I need to have some rest since my condition is not good. Since it's a day off tomorrow (to be precisely, it should be "today"), I would write something new for my blog. Well, I'm still going to write something about songs. The songs would be the "Long Vacation Sound Track Album". Most of you may know this popular japanese drama "Long Vacation". For me, songs in this drama were important to me. They've been with me since I was in senior high in the US (a long long time ago). And, amazingly, they're still with me till now. The reason I love to hear them is because they're so soft, touching, relaxing and with smooth melody. They don't have very strong or high-pitched sounds. They're just slow and with laziness. I just like the way they are. When I feel sad or am with too much emotions, I'll listen to this album and imagine I'm in a long vacation, which means everything is relaxing and soothing. So, do you have your favorite songs or sound tracks? Everyone should have some so that we can retreat to another world for a short, private relaxing time.

Today I accidentally heard a song- "heal the world" by Michael Jackson. Such a touching and warm song. After hearing it, I felt like crying because of the sad story it's trying to tell us. This song said about people were dying and we should try saving the world and being against the war. Michael Jackson's voice was so pure and clear in this song. The music video of it was very touching too, as well as the melody and lyrics. Even though this was a song long long time ago, it still has its power which conveys the meaning of no-war to listeners. There was a commercial of chanel perfume lately. The theme song of it I liked a lot was called "L-O-V-E". This song always reminded me of the days when I was in the US- full of melody, music, styles and leisure. When I was in LA as a senior in high school long long time ago, I got the chances to visit places around beaches in Santa Monica, a very beautiful place full of fancy restaurants and shops. I was there several times and really missed the atmosphere there, though it is hard for me to go back there since I need to have money and time for the visitng. That place was really beautiful with lights, music, shows all on the streets. People there were walking, eating, chatting, with no pressure and with style. I think because "L-O-V-E" is with such beautuful melody and voice, it makes me remind of LA beach life. The lyrics are touching as well. To share with you all, "L-O-V-E".

As I watched "friends" today, it said about a song- isn't she lovely (by stevie wonder). I looked for this song on internet and heard it. It was really beautiful. If on the wedding, the band plays this song, I guess the bride will feel like an angel. "Isn't she lovely", this describes a man's feelings to the girl he loves. Am I lovely? I guess the answer is not from us. It'd be precious to hear the words from the one we love. A girl would become beautiful and lovely for the one she loves. Not only for herself, but for the special one out there.
