What is the biggest entertainment news in Taiwan now? Yes! SNSD (少女時代)! From TV news, we saw lots of teenagers are crazy for them and would wait for long time to see their concert. Are SNSD's songs really that good? I don't know because I didn't hear all of them. But I definately heard the most popular one "Gee". When I first saw the MV, I was thinking "Wow, these young girls' legs are long and straight. Korean entertainment is really something." From the MV, there are colorful dresses, beautiful figures, cute dances and pretty faces. I really admire how Koreans are so dedicated and professional to their show biz. Back to the song itself, it is fast and cute. Even though I don't understand any word of them, I still would love to hear it from beginning to the end. So, haven't heard of SNSD? Go to youtube and see "Gee"!

So, lately I joined the exercise- "boxing". I'm not a sports-lover but since my friends joined this class and I'd love to gain more strengths so I joined too. Every Saturday I'll go to the gym and dance the boxing dance and do the exercise. Even though boxing exercise is not the most popular one among ladies in Taiwan, it has many credits already worldwide. If you've seen the tv show before like "ally mcbeal" or " sex and the city", office ladies in the US often join this kind of exercise class after work to improve their body status. I think the most popular exercise for ladies in taiwan should be yoga because it can stretch the body and won't move so fast so that everyone can keep up with every movement. Anyway, there are so many kinds of exercises and no matter what you join, as long as you have regular exercise every week, it would benefit your body a lot especially for those who work at office and hardly have chances to exercise.

See you in the gym! (or at the park!)

For the four seasons, I like autumn the best- it's not very hot or very cold, it's just well-balanced. I love walking in the street in autumn especially in the evening. I can feel the breeze and the changing of trees- they're becoming yellow and withering. With the wind, the leaves fall. Sometimes luckily a leaf is falling in front of me, and I always tried to catch the falling leaves. Sun isn't that burning and air isn't that stuffy. I love being in the park as well. I'll just wonder in the park and feel the cool weather. Even though there's not so much pretty yellow leaves in Taiwan, the atmosphere of autumn stays the same. It brings the news that winter is coming soon. So during the duration, I'll just hold up to every moment of autumn when it's not going away. Sadly, autumn in Taiwan is always short. Before I can catch up every detail of it, it just silently changes to winter. And, I'll have to wait for another year for the next autumn- that's how the nature is operating. It just fallows its rule and we should appreciate everything the nature gives before it goes away.

I just love the season of fall.

"Psycho" and "Misery" are two masterpieces. Both the two movies are very much well-known as best horror movies. "Psycho" was a movie directed by Hitchcock, who was deemed as the master for making horror and scary movies. Even though this movie was made some decadeds ago, as we watched it now, it still had the strong scary atmosphere. There were some classic images in it- the killer stabbed the woman behind the curtain, the reflections from the mirrors, the lonely house on the other side from the motel- all these made the movie classical.

For "Misery", it said a well-known writer had a car accident and was rescued, unfortunately, by one of his big fans, who was a mentally-disordered psycho. He was kidnapped by her and had a miserable life since then. It was an astonishing movie too. The actress Kathy Bates played vividly as a crazy killer in the movie.

These two movies are very popular and well-known as horror movies. If you are a fan of horrors, you shouldn't miss these two.

So, lately I've been trying to cut back my spending on everything. But, as I listed all my expenses for this month so far, the amount of spending didn't reduce very much... I feel really disappointed. As I tried to eat simple, entertain less, spend less, however, the consequence stays almost the same... Why is it like this? As I looked over the items clearly, well, there is always "surprising" expenses. For example, some friend's birthday treat, gift for the new birth of a friend, reunion for schools etc. Sigh, how can I do to reduce more for the cost of living... Since now I have issues on spending money, I really would like to make progress on it gradually. So, I guess the gathering with friends should be less? But, friendship is always important and hanging out with friends is fun. Anyway, need to put more restriction on spending. Hopefully I can achieve the saving goal soon.

Even though I had a fight with my parents, deep inside, I still know that they always concern and care about us for everything. They fight with us because they're afraid we will get hurt in lives and hope we can be a good kid and listen to their advice. Well, everyone knows kids always have their opinions especially when kids are getting older. We all know we love our parents, our family. But most of the time fights are irresistable because we are too close and we will be more blunt to family than to others. Anyway, as I first heard this song, I was deeply moved. I totally could understand what the song wanted to say, because the lyrics were just great. It describes the feelings of parents while they are growing children. Parents look at little kids and are always wondering how their son/daughter will become and finally just want children to be safe and healthy and happy. After listening it, we would be nicer to parents and appreciate their love. It is a great Taiwanese song. Share with you.

Isn't it nice when you already knew what to do as your life-long career when you're young? Everytime I watched the "Jenny" in "Gossip Girl", I always envy her because she knows what she wants and is good at- but most people don't have that luck. So in real lives, we just try and try and keep looking for the job we want to do. Take me for example, my major is in human resources, but ironically, I don't know my career clearly either... And that is really a big issue to me (maybe most of us?) because we've been categorized into "not young people". So this problem has been bothering me so long. As I mentioned before, I would like to face the reality and do the compromise, but is it really that easy to cave? And most importantly, our interests may not be our strengths, because that's not our majors... Anyway, hope we all can find a job we love, even though it is still a tough issue to me. Good luck... to us!

So, mid-autumn festival is coming again. Eveytime this festival brings so much to eat- moon cakes, grapefruits, BBQ, especially when your job is the one can get gifts from vendors. So, my parents bring some and and so do I. Consequently, lots of moon cakes stock at home. As to BBQ, traditionally I will go back to grandpa's home for BBQ. However, with the increase of my age, I always feel a bit sad when all the celebration thing happens along with the festivals. I am a festival (holiday) lover. But, if there is no special one to celebrate with you, somehow all the joy decreases... a lot. Of course family will be celebrating with you, but the special one would be totally different. Therefore everytime mid-autumn festival will remind me of the old time back in college... with my ex. Not that I still like him, but the celebration atmosphere will bring us back to the old memories. Sigh, another mid-autumn festival. Another sadness.

This is a song sung by R. Kelly and known especially in basketball field. But of course it is an inspirational song applied to all things. Some american songs are so encouraging that I just think they are wonderful! In my opinion, Americans really do a good job on creating good songs, good moives, good concerts, while asians are working hard and don't really pay attention to life quality... I do think an encouraging place is important to all people because people will have loves and hopes. So, this is a song mainly describing Michael Jordan (?). I do remember the song with Michael Jordan's amazing basketball skills and jumps... Inspiring and splendid! It tells that we all have hopes and we should believe in what we're doing. No matter what the dream is, big or small, we all can achieve it one day. And, that's the spirit!

I Believe I Can Fly Lyrics

I used to think that I could not go on
And life was nothing but an awful song

My favorite song in junior high. It was the theme song for Disney Cartoon "Aladdin". When I was in junior high, there are many Disney movies- "The little Mermaid", "Beauty and the Beast", "Aladdin", "Lion king". And they were all hits at that time. I remember after school, I'd go to see a movie with my friends, even though we were so young and didn't really know how to enjoy watching movies. And we had to wait in a long line for tickets because so many people wanted to see Disney cartoons. And actually I still think Disney cartoons were better in old times. I think they were more pure and sincere. Because nowadays we can see much technology added on each cartoon, however, they are so perfect that it's so hard for us to see the truth inside. So, I can sing almost every theme song for the old Disney, but can't sing any for the ones now. Well, "Aladdin" may not be the best compared to the new ones but it was the best in my memory and it did bring much joy for younger "sixth-graders".

A Whole New World

I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid

I've been reading a comic series called "Dilbert", which is a popular one describing the life for office workers- exactly what my life is now. Since I'm working for a while, after reading each of Dilbert, I always can imagine vividly what it is saying and easily come up a story which really happened in my office and it is just like the Dilbert says. Even though Dilbert's characters are all simple and not very fancy, it tells the truth precisely in every office (or I should say every cubicle)- the lazy worker, the diligent worker, the stupid but arrogant boss, the bad-tempered lady etc. It brings so much joy to me especially when I'm in a boring working environment and feel sleepy during work. Strongly suggest to read this comic if you're the can't-change-anything-but-have-to-work person. You can find some comfort in it.

Lately don't have chances to see movies. So, another song again. Well, it is a Chinese song- one of my favorites. The reason I like it is it describes many countries and cities in the song. I like traveling because through traveling, we can see how other people live in their ways, and therefore our perspectives can be widened up. I always admire all kinds of living ways because each of them has their uniqueness. By appreciating different cultures, we will understand what our merits and our shortcomings are while we live our lives. And, we know we are not the center of the globe and will be more humble to everything. So, let's go travel!... Well, have to save money first!

This is one of the songs which I can memorize clearly (the lyrics part). I heard this song when I was in junior high. I remember at that time, Mariah Carey was in her prime, and, I didn't know who Mariah Carey was! But I did think this song was very beautiful and easily to remember. Besides the melody, the lyrics are simple and touching. As to the singers, I like the Mariah Carey and Luther Vandross version the most. I know there are some other versions for this song. However, my favorite would be this one. It is a song for true love. Share with you.

Endless Love

My love,
There's only you in my life
The only thing that's right

This is a special song. According to google, it is a must-learn song for new guitar learners because it is a typical Blues. When I first heard this song, I didn't have any particular feelings about it. But strangely, the more I hear this song, the more I like it, and most people feel the same way. It has a power to draw people into a special sad emotion. Eric Clapton wrote this song to memorize his son, who accidentally died when four years old, and this is why the lyrics and melody show the sadness strongly. This is a song which will make we feel more after we listen to it more.

Tears in Heaven

Another song from Nat King Cole. I heard this song when I was very young. Well, again, I heard it from the movie "Sleepless in Seatle". With Nat King Cole's beautiful voice, even though this song is short and easy, it presents the romantic atmosphere perfectly. Plus the story of "Sleepless in Seatle"- a romance just like an urban legend. They make it a perfect love song for people in love.

It is a nice and typical love song. Share with you. And, may we all feel like being in love all the time.

When I fall in love it will be forever
